My fiance tries to take our 3 month veiled out of the cage and gets a hissing evil creature trying to bite him. ..... I take him out and he's like putty in my hand. 100 % relaxed .

Yes, I've heard of that lots on this forum. I've seen loads of animals that will bond more strongly with the primary caregiver. It's sort of expected in most creatures with a 'proper' brain I would say.......
All my lizards have been calmer and 'happier' with me around than anyone else, so it's really normal for your cham to be like that. More contact with your fiance should habituate him better........
As long as your fiance is slow and patient and respectful with him of course :)
Food is a fairly good way into a chams heart......
Of course your cham might just be being a bit of a jerk...........

The worst part is he feeds him !!!! LOL !!! I just handle the little guy all the time and have a great bond with him :) , my fiance is totally offeneded and it doesn't even seen like our chameleon when he tried to handle it and almost got bit.

My boy seems to like my husband and myself about the equal amount, we both are very involved in his care and I think this helps.

my guy def likes me me better than my girlfriend! Even though she bought him for me hehehe! I think she moves a little quick for his liking but she says she is going as slow as she can.

Where did you get him from? It would be interesting to find out if you looked like the initial care giver it had before you got him. A residual bond if you will.

We got him from pets unlimited. He was handled there daily. I do handle him more and am in the room watching him more and misting him. I can take him out, stroke his tail, kiss his belly and late at night before bed he will fall asleep in my hand. He's rest his belly and kind of perches on me. Yet anthony goes for him and he puffs up and will hiss and try to bite

chameleons are pretty smart they can distinguish between two people to me it seems that in order to like both of you you both have to give him.equal attention.
