Euphoric blueberries!!??

Smeagie LOVES blueberries and will run to the cage door when he sees me with one in my hand.
When he eats it, he turns a brighter color and even his face seems to lighten and glow, making his eyes look bigger!!
This reaction only lasts a few seconds, but he seem so happy and he almost gets right in my face!

Is there something in blueberries that would cause this euphoric reaction, or is he just supper happy?

I haven't tried melon yet, but I have heard that watermelon is very popular with veiled, today is grocery day, I'll pick up some goodies
I guess I should remember to buy food for myself as well!!

Melon, never thought of that, let us know if Smeagie likes that....I'm sure there are many different types of fruit they will eat, I need to try some on Picasso.
That is really cute the way you say Smeagie lights up when he sees you with the blueberries....a happy boy!

My Veiled loved Blueberries also.He would eat up to 6 -10 at a time. He didn't have the same reaction as yours though. He also loved sliced bell pepper. As soon as i put it in his cage, he would sprint towards it.

Hahaha, if it's any consolation Laurie the only cham I've had that eats veggies is the stupidest lizard I've ever kept........And Jasmine only eats them because she knows I'm holding something edible. She'll eat anything I hold in front of her stupid little face
