EU ban on bulbs!

i use a 40w spotlamp in a Zoo Med deep dome and it gets seriously hot. If they were to ban 60w you could always take this approach. Failing that - get panic buying NOW

It will be hitting the US soon I believe. Then hitting Canada sometime afterwards.

When it does hit the US, I'll be stocking up on around 200-300 bulbs lol.

I am fairly sure that even though they may not be available in your your local supermarket or hardware shop, they will be obtainable still from specific places. Probably from the internet or something.

You can still get those bulbs for your reptiles in Europe. They're no more sold as normal bulbs but as special "heat balls" :D or as heat lamps for terraristic aims. The european ordinance only manages trade of bulbs for simple lightning, but not those for heating... and in fact, those spotlights we use for reptiles and most other special bulbs aren't concerned by the ordinance at all.
