Etosha behavior

My 8 month old female went through receptive colors about a month or so ago. It lasted about 3 weeks. Lately she is restless going to the bottom, wanting out etc she has a lay bin and has not seemed interested in it.
She is not basking normally. I was assuming she is near laying and today i covered her up. Any advice? Not quite sure what to do. Her weight is 105 which is no heavier than a month ago. She also still has blue coloring. Maybe she us just receptive again? I have kept her heat down in.low 80s and have been careful to not overfeed to discourage eggs. Thank you!

Can you post pics? I don’t have experience with females but if she hasn’t gained weight in a month then she was probably just receptive And is receptive again. From what I have read the restlessness is them trying to find a mate. Hopefully one of the more experienced female keepers will chime in. :)

Well this has all been a learning thing. Today she was on the floor twice and I walked in at 3pm to her madly digging in her laybin. I walked out and shut the door. How long should this last? I want to make sure she is able to complete it all satisfactorily.

It can be done in a couple of hours or it can take a couple of days.
Here's how it should go. She may dig a couple of test holes and even take a break in between but should settle on one hole in the end and dig it until she's happy with it, she will then turn around butt down...likely in the evening and lay her eggs. This can take a while too. She should then fill in the hole and tamp it down and return to the branches thinner, thirsty, and hungry. At this point you can dig up the eggs and if they are fertile incubate them and if infertile, count them and discard them. If you're not sure let us know so we can instruct you further.

If things don't go like this ...let us know too.

Yes after 24 hours she is just now up basking - dirty and dark. Her laybin is all flat and covered over so i will count eggs tomorrow. I gave her a mist, a hornworm and a couple of crickets. She has her dripper so hopefully she will recover tonight. She never looked big at all so hopefully she didnt have too many. Thank you for the help. I am glad my laybin was acceptable to her

Today Etosha has eaten well although I have brought her food to her. She is kinda dark coloring too but is sitting high on her basking branch. I found 45 eggs. I guess my temps in the low 80s and reduced food was not very effective. I would like this to be a rare event. I will weigh her today. At her highest she was 112.

Since Etosha is her old self today I weighed her and she is only 77g. She was 112 at her highest with eggs. So being she is 8.5 months old is this too small or is she thinner than normal due to egg laying. She ate 10 crickets and 4 BSFL and a hornworm already tjis morning. Should I feed her again today? What am I aiming for or is she still not adult size.
