Zack and I went back to the pet store yesterday to check on that poor veiled that we tried(to no avail) to help a week or two ago. We found her in the mud again, all of her limbs were so deformed! She was flailing them around trying to walk, but her front leg was bent so bad that it kept getting caught on her lip and pulling her mouth open. It was so bad, it made me cry! She wasn't opening one of her eyes, it could have been damaged from that bent arm poking it for all I know, and she seemed to have no use of her back legs. I'm just wondering if this sounds like the end stages of MBD, so at least I will know that the end of her suffering is near. We begged them to help her, but they acted like we were stupid and said that she was being treated. The worst part is that we found a binder next to the chameleon enclosures that had care sheets on each kind of chameleon. The care sheet for the veiled was right on! Everything down to the no waterfalls and screen cages, even though they have waterfalls and are in glass enclosures. Anyways....she looks so far gone. I was just wanting to know what the last stages of MBD look like. This poor girl is suffering and I can't imagine her living much longer. She can't move anymore, her limbs are too bent and she's too weak for that. I just want her suffering to end.
