First a disclaimer: I do not have a Jax, so hopefully a Jax owner will also chime in. Watch the D3, no more than 2x a month, I have read that montaines can be sensitive to oversupplimentation. The elbow is definitely swollen. My question is about the falling though- you say he's fallen a few times, that's not normal. Is he having problems gripping? Personally, I'd take him to the vet. Not that they'll give him a little cast and crutches but they can assess the damage and check for underlying issues. Keep us posted- he is a handsome little guy!

Re: the falling...does he have branches small enough for him to get his feet around in the cage?

Re: swollen elbow...not a vet...so all I could do is guess so IMHO the best thing you can do is have a vet look at it. Was it swollen before the falls? He looks good and healthy other than that.

If he didn't injure it from falling, it could be gout. Chameleon's get it just like people and it is painful. I would definitely take him to a vet and have him checked out. They can do bloodwork to see where his uric acid levels are at.

Yes tons of branches
I only had him for less than a week but my calcium D3 schedule is unclear but he will be on a 2 x a month schedule.

I'm going to monitor him over the weekend before taking to the vet. There is one In conroe 3 min away i called yesterday before I noticed his arm.

I didn't see him fall, possibly the branches are not strong enough to hold his weight. I may get some garden rods from a hardware store for some of his branches.

He is still eating which is good, just not as much as I figured he eat.

Over the phone the vet said to move him away from my other chsmeleon although they cannot see each other they can tell each other is there. I'm gonna do that tonight after work.
