Eggs after egg laying

Hi everyone

My chameleon has not long layed eggs (48) nearly 2 weeks ago

She’s gone back very skinny (like a deflated balloon) so I’ve been giving her some good food and calcium but I have notice she has had one or two eggs when she goes to the toilet?

She’s going normally and it all looks normal but there’s been an egg twice now

Is this normal?

Hi. No, this is not normal at all. She’s obviously retained some eggs and needs a vet visit, sooner rather than later. Without an x ray there’s no way to tell how many eggs are still in her and if she isn’t able to get them all out, this will be life threatening. If you need help finding a good vet, just ask and let us know your general vicinity.

Also, 48+ is a lot of eggs. Once your young lady has gotten all of her eggs out, you want to reduce her to a diet of 3-4 feeders, 3 days a week and keep basking temp at 80F. This will help reduce her egg production.
