Eggbound Recovery!

I got Stella last summer, and mid november she started having problems. I had been told she was a he, so I never allowed her a laying bin when she needed it. And by the time I realized what was going on, there wasn't much I could do. She was past the point of laying on her own and had "days left" if we didn't get her eggs out. But after 5 vet trips, 4 shots of Oxytocin, and an expensive surgery, she finally had the eggs (26) taken out! I'm so thankful I was able to get her the surgery in time instead of having to put her down like I thought. ($ issues.) It's been almost 3 months since her surgery and she is better than ever! We had no problems with the stitches or her wound, or medicine, or getting her to eat, or anything at all. I encourage rookie cham owners to double check gender as they start growing! That could have saved us alot of pain and money..

So good to hear a success story for once! She's beautiful!
I feel bad...it was me who said I saw a spur. :(
