what egg laying substrate could i use? could i use eco earth?

I use sand on the bottom, about 6 inches of that.
top soil, 6 inches of that.
and then a bit of left over eco earth. it cant compact very well, but i used it to cover the top soil... only about 2 inches of that.

you need something that can hold a tunnel. and ive found eco earth dries out super fast.

I go 50/50 organic soil and playsand mixed together well.

I just use organic soil purchased from home depot
