How long do you wait? Before digging up eggs. As soon as she's done laying, 12 hours after, 24, 48.

depends when she finishes. If its in the day i do it straight away but usually never leave it over 12 hours if they are fertile

For me its whatevers convienent. If Im prepared and have all the supplies on hand to make my incubation containers I just go ahead and dig em up immed. If not I wait til the next day when Im ready with all the vermiculite and stuff. Have you seen any difference in hatch rates or incub time when waiting to dig em up?

I like to wait until the eggs "dry" before taking them out. There were thoughts years ago that the fluid expelled with and on the eggs may hold some anti-fungal properties. So, for that reason I've never rinsed eggs and always tried to wait until the female is long finished covering the nest before excavating. I'd say 6-18 hours is how long I wait. Good question!
