Hi Thompson,
A very late reply to this thread, but some useful info and updates.
We just started shipping our Ez400-RHT version, which provides combined Humidity and Temp Readings with the new RHT Digital Humidity+Temp probe.
This provides up to 4 Humidity and 4 Temp readings per device, along with new AC line modes for Automatic Mister Control and Humidifier Control.

Besides the web interface, the same functionality is available thru the LCD interface which is very simple and intuitive to setup, and you definitely don't need a computer or network connection to use the Ez400, the Web interface is just an added feature.
The unit is very advanced and flexible, yet designed to be very easy to setup and use! The unit is specialized for Herps, so user interface is intuitive and designed to what a herp keeper would expect ... because it was designed by and for herp keepers from the start. Setup defaults are based on the desired environment (rainforest, desert, etc. ) and line function (i.e. Basking Spot, Mister Control, etc.) and will provide the setting defaults (yes, I am lazy so designed this in :>), then you can easily adjust settings from there based on your needs. Those who have tried the Ez400 indicate that there is really no substitute for the combination of functionality and ease of use! I personally don't like spending time to learn and setup/program gadgets, so I don't expect my users to do that either!
The EcoZone ships with a 40 page color users guide (hardcopy) and although I suspect many people do not uses it, but it is there for reference.

i am in the process of makeing an order with Tony at Eco-Zone and am going to be doing a set up with eco-zone control with web cams and full remote computer control and monitoring. i will be posting videos and hows to's of the entire project as soon as i get started ( prob next week )
im very excited about this, and special thx to Tony at Eco-Zone who has been very helpfull with the whole process.

So how many enclosures would I be able to control with just one main unit?

Hi there,
The Ez400 is most often used for multiple cage setups, usually 2-3.
The number of enclosures depends on your specific setup, though.
There are 4 AC outlets and each outlet is 450W *DIMMABLE* and can drive multiple loads, up to 450W load per AC outlet. So for example if you have 4 cages, each with a 100W Basking Lamp, you only use 1 of the 4 AC outlets for those 4 basking lamps. That leaves 3 more lines for UV lamps, Heating, Misters, etc.
The RHT4 unit has 4 Humidity+Temp probes, so that can be one probe each for 4 cages, each probe reading Humidity AND temperature.
There is no restriction on the use of a probe for an AC outlet which could be for humidity or temperature control.
The unit also includes an I/O output relay, which works great for the 24V DC misters, and you don't need to tie up an AC outet for that.
