Eating a leaf???

I know it's normal for them to eat plants but I don't know if this plant is suppose to be eaten. I will e posting a photo in a hour or so.

As long as you picked your plant based off the ones recommended in the resources tabs, you should be fine. Unless it is a ficus, those plants can be toxic to the chameleon if consumed in large amounts.

Ficus are known to be eye irritants, not toxic (as far as I'm aware). Pothos are somewhat toxic, but only in large LARGE amounts.

Check out those websites to see if your plant is on that list.

Hopefully you didn't pick a plant just because it looked pretty!

Not really much point in my looking Clea, im not a botanist, Theres no way I can identify a plant by looking at it, unless its a shefflera or something, even then, some are ok, like arboricola, some are toxic like actinophylla, and they look identical.

our guy has been taking big bites out of the jade plant in his enclosure for a couple months, no side effects. It's funny because you can see the shape of his mouth on the eaten leaves - like a shark bite! Jade is a little like a smooth cactus so I'm sure he's enjoying the moisture content.
