Any one been there? I plan on driving up this weekend to check out the chameleons! I was planning on getting one from petco but after seeing and researching how bad they are treated and housed there, i figure this so called "one of the largest reptile specialty stores in the Nation" seems like a better bet

Uhhh, it's very overpriced. I think they wanted 200 for a Jackson's when I asked them a couple months ago. Even 2 month old baby veileds were up in the 100 range.

if i remember right. the Jackson's are around $125. well i cant really think of any other places nearish to me that sell chameleons, and i sort of would rather buy one from a store rather than off the internet

EBV is hard to get to but they do have some variety. IMO, wait til July 31/Aug 1 when the herp expo comes to San Jose. You'll get better pricing & selection.

Well, if you buy off the internet the cham will be delivered right to your door and packaged very safely. In my opinion, you should reconsider buying from a reputable breeder or importer online.

Pfft! Well at least they're selling them at more acceptable prices to you! I was with my boyfriend who wanted a normal plain Jane jackson's and we were not willing to spend 200 on one. We just got one from LLLreptile instead.

oh & Chameleon Master Bruce Gal is in San Jose & he breeds here. I think I have an e-mail somewhere, PM me if you want it. In San Mateo he had nosy be but he said he'd have ambilobe very soon.

Go there just to look - very cool place. Lot's of wild stuff and nice people. Visited there several years ago when I was on the west coast. Talked to a guy there once about buying a turtle for my niece - he was very informative and actually talked me out of it once we got down to the details of where and how they were planning to house it. Gotta respect that! Also, got my first ever reptile from them about 14 years ago. My sister bought me a WC Uromastyx and had it shipped to Virginia. Came in one of those cloth bags and it was the first one I'd ever seen. I remember thinking "no way this thing lived after being shipped from California!" But it did of course. So "props forever" to EBV in my book. I've had a lot of those cloth bags show up at my house since then!

How is Bruce doing I was not aware he was still breeding chameleons? Is he still breeding out of the delux greenhouse with UV greenhouse panels?

If your looking to hand pick and buy a chameleon I would wait for a show.
