Dubias and flexwatt in the mail!

It's my precious Monty's very first birth day this Christmas (I don't know when his actual birth day is, but Christmas is when I got him) and I wanted to start a dubia colony and a zophobas colony because they're his two favorite treats. And because crickets suck.

My father has placed the order and agrees that dubias were much better than crickets (and that we'll be saving up to 10$ a week on them!) and we will breed the dubias.

Food, egg crates, their water supply, breeding pairs, and tons of dubias will be in the mail as well as my flexwatt tape and cords and whatever else we got. I'm excited!

Anyone else get excited over BUGS!? See what the cham obsession drives us to think? :p

I get quite excited checking the silkworm eggs. I then get very panicky when loads hatch at once.:D

I really want to get some flexwatt for the roaches but I am pretty sure you have to use a thermostat with it... is that true?

Not true. I have been using flexwatt for my dubias and do not have a thermostat. I DO however have it attached to a cord with a dimmer on it. I still keep it at full power and achieve temps between 92-96 at all times. I LOVE FLEXWATT!

I attached it to the bottom of my bin using foil insulating tape from the hardware store. Works great and it was cheap.
