Dubia Roaches

I'm thinking about starting a colony of Dubia roaches but am a little skeptical on keeping roaches in general. They seem better than crickets in every way except for one... roaches are notorious for infecting houses. None of the other threads that I've found seem to comment on this so I would like to get some opinions. I guess I'm just worried about the possibility of one escaping.

Dubias aren't really the infesting type of roach. They're tropical so they will not survive very long or breed without the proper heat and/or a food source.

Yep, Unless your home is in the 80-90's (interior) in very high humidity, infestation is not really a concern. Not adequate conditions for breeding. I'd say you're safe. I'm thinking about starting one myself. My Chameleon LOVES them.

Dubias usually won't breed in typical house environments. It is always great to add more variety to a chameleon's diet, so don't ditch crickets entirely. Also, many chameleons refuse to eat Dubia (mine included), so try feeding him a couple before starting a colony.
