ewwwwwwwwww......blahhhhhhhhhhhhhh I HATE roaches ! BUT...now that I know the are good for my babies- UGH - I am going to have to get someI can hardly stand the thought of one let alone many in my house- is that how you guys started tho ? not liking them ? do you get used to them - OMG- the thought of them - how do you pick them up to feed them to the chams - how do you grow them into such large colonies ? I MAY be picking up 2 already started colonies, the guy said its like 6,000
roaches - I have no idea even how to take care of them - they kinda come w/ some other stuff I may be getting -

The nymphs really do look like roly pollies! They even curl up as a defense (though not as well as a really pollie would.) think of them as more of a beetle or something. The adult females looks like shiny giant beetles. They really arent like the nasty roaches that come into your house (DO NOT get red runners or any that can climb if you cant stand the idea of the infesting species! Dont even look at them!)
I have a blog on the care/housing/feeding off/how many to get/etc. of dubia. They are super easy, and you can use some gloves or tongs to pick them up. I do suggest starting with only a few feeders to see if your chameleons/lizards will even eat them though. You dont want to end up with 6000 roaches that you cant even feed off!
