Dry Skin on 3 Month Cham

My 3 month old male veiled chameleon appears to have very dry skin from the looks of it. He just shed about a week ago, and today I noticed his skin looks dried out. His humidity level never drops below 40%, most of the time it's up around 60% with the humidifier going.

He does have a habit of climbing around on the top of the cage upside down, do you think he's getting too close to the lights?

Also, I am using a clear lightbulb, does that have negative effects compared to the soft white bulbs?

He seems healthy, his poop was slightly yellow today but the other droppings I found were pure white, so I don't think he is dehydrated?

I am trying to get a picture but he does not like my camera near the cage, he runs and hides in the back and keeps turning away from the camera.

He could be starting another shed. It does seem soon but I have read on here where chams have shed a few weeks in a row or every couple of weeks when they are that young. .

Could be a bad shed. You could increase the mistings. Or even give him a shower. Or its like Carol said. Maybe he is just going to shed again.

So it's normal for him to shed again if he did just over a week ago?

I do a heavy misting in the morning, and then every 2-3 hours I do another misting, then allow his cage to dry out before shutting the lights off at night.

My homemade dripper is not working, so I have been running my humidifier a bit more lately, I will try to increase his misting and keep the humidity more stable.

I will try to get a better picture today when I turn his lights on in an hour.

Thanks Guys
