The dripper drips out of a tube right into a water catch.
It dosent hit any leaves, so his chameleons have to drink out of a straw.lol
Its a proven method, so like he said KISS.(keep it simple stupid)

The Big Dripper and Little Dripper come with valves that way you can adjust the flow of the water dripping out of them.

On the end of the valve there is a nipple so you can attach a tube to it.
You attach the tube then run into the hole you made in the screen.
Then place the tube so the water freefalls right into the collection bucket at the bottome of the cage.
This way when you chameleon wants to drink they have to walk to the tube and allow the water to fall inside of their mouth or lick it from the tube.

problem is if it hits too many leaves it will go everywhere, but i like it to hit a few and trickle down, my cham really hasn't mastered it yet and i feel this gives him the best chance to drink while still collecting at least 95 percent of the water

I have noticed that my cham likes the tap tap of the water on the leaves. She also goes to her water branch and waits for me to start the dripper for her. I made a large dripper for her with a stop cock at one end of the tube and a adjustable flow knob at the other. We have these "catheters" at work that are used to place an IV line in a dogs leg for fluid intake. If I use a clean cath, its plastic, once the needle is withdrawn, I can place that drip wherever I want. Works well for me.

i just drill 5 small holes in my pvc
then raise the sides of the pvc up so their is an incline towards the
center. you can use anything to raise it, rocks, blocks, socks.
no socks. then get a funnel and glue it to the bottom of the pvc.
i have my cage on a 28 inch by 16 inch piece of wood that
rests on an old tv cart/ microwave stand.
i drilled a hole in the stand so that the water can drip threw
and i put a small trash can under it.
it works great, and was really easy.
i spray about a gallon of water in his cage a day, if not more,
and i have no problems with my dripper hitting a different path then planned.
you can get these stands for like $20, and they hold all of my stuff for him.
