Dripper

I am setting up my dripper.

When the water drips from the tube onto the top screen, it kind of pools up on top of the screen, and drips in all different places.

Is there a way to control where the water drips from, without cutting a hole in the screen for the tube to go through?

Also, is there a way to catch the drips at the bottom, so it doesnt make the whole bottom of the cage wet?

The surface tension is stopping the water drops from going through, if you raise the dripper up a bit the extra height will provide a bit more force in the droplets to penetrate the screen.

As JamesBryan said, raise the dripper. One thing I've used in the past is a styrofoam cup. If you cut the bottom out and place the dripper on top of it, its pretty light and wont add too much weight to your screen if your dripper is sitting directly on top of the screen.

Mine does the same thing. I start mine in the morning when his lights come on. If you reach inside and touch the the screen where it's dripping, it will start to drip through. Once you get it going you're good to go. Now for the pooling water. You can use a container to catch the drips on the bottom of the cage. Or you can make a drainage system. I opted for the drainage system because I have multiple paths that the droplets take and It wasn't all collecting in one area. I drilled a hole in the center of the bottom tray. I then cut a hole in the stand that the cage sits on and placed a funnel in it. Water runs though the hole, into the funnel, and down to a bucket to collect the excess. Hope this helps!!!
