Drinking

So, Wilfred gets misted 4-5 times a day and when I first got him i saw him drinking droplets from the leaves so never bothered with a dripper. I haven't really seen him drink since then but assume he does because he looks hydrated and his urate is always bright white.
Then a few days ago I noticed his eyes might have been a little sunken and his urate had an orange tip and so set up a dripper using aquarium tubing and valve (which I had been meaning to do for a while ). Its been dripping all day so far and I haven't seen him drink from it yet. His urate is more orange today too. How long do you think it would take him to notice it or get used to it? Has anyone got any tips/tricks to help? Also he is just about to shed, could chameleons get a little dehydrated at this time?

Just keep at it, misting and dripping if you have the proper drainage. Also try juicy hornworms and well hydrated feeders. It helps for stubborn drinkers I noticed. I have a panther who will only drink drops from front screen door he is a strange one. It don't matter how many times mistking goes off I have to manually spray the front screen door for him to get a nice drink. Also check your humidity is in the proper range.

Lol! The things you do for them eh! :D
Drainage is no problem. Humidity is usually around 70 and never drops below 50.
