Drinking from a ceramic leaf?

I was so worried about Ozzie being able to get enough water from drinking so little off the real and fake leaves in his habitat that I went to the craft store to find a fake leaf that would bend. Well I came up empty handed so I went next door to Petsmart to look around and I found a ceramic leaf that suction cups onto the side of his enclosure and I let the little dripper drip through the wire mesh on the top of his habitat down into the ceramic leaf and not 2 seconds later Ozzie came up to it and stuck his foot in it as if to say "ah water" and he drank out of the leaf OMG I am amazed! Well here is a shot of the ceramic leaf. The ceramic leaf is secure so no worries :)

WTG ....OZZIE!!!

I applaud your ingenuity but I would keep an eye on it because standing water breeds bacteria especially if your feeders get attracted to it, fall in, and drown... Also more likely, I'm almost positive (I've heard and had personal experience) standing water becomes a "defecate here" sign... Which will breed MASSIVE amounts of bacteria...

Thanks Sean do you think I should clean it often and if so how often? Also I never leave feeders in Ozzies habitat. The feeders are kept in a small bucket hanging inside his habitat and after he eats and then walks away from it I take it out. So no live insects can get into his water and it is constantly moving water with the little dripper dripping into it.

I would clean it daily or at least every other day. I have the same thing. But I dont use it for water.

Ah okay... my guy would freak if I took food away lol

Ozzie would eat until he popped so I don't leave live food in there for him but just enough so if any are left over in his bucket and he walks away then I remove the bucket and put the feeders in their own habitat. I go through this same routine about 3-4 times a day. He has actually gotten pretty use to eating out of his bucket so he knows when I put it back in that it is feeding time LOL.

I will clean his water bowl out probably twice a day so no bacteria builds up...Thanks
