Why does this plant get a bad rap? According to the Live Plant list, it's easy to maintain and non toxic. I am most interested in this plant as a type of chameleon water fountain I guess. I don't have any live plants, yet. I'm also interested in the scheflerra plant.

I used to use dracaena plants in my enclosures, the problem with them is there is little to no horizontal walkways and to much foliage. They grow tall and the leave bush out from the stems. Schefflera's are a much better alternative.
