I learned a valuable lesson the other night. Sitting out hurrican Irene and had a tornado warning. Everybody and every critter was taken to the safest place in the house and only Moe was left, who was asleep. I woke him in attempt to take him out of his cage and put him in a carrier. Well, he was not thrilled with it and despite his hissing and warnings I continued to try and coax him on my hand which was covered by a towel since he wasn't very happy. Well, to my surprise he actually bit me. That is absolutely the first time and after another minute of trying I gave up. His teeth went through the towel and believe it or not, if you never have been bitten before, thier jaw is strong and it actually hurts a bit. So, lesson is, waking a sleeping chameleon is a big no no. I won't be doing that again, that's for sure. Next time I have something like this happen he'll already be in a safe place in the house. Within minutes of me leaving him alone he was fast asleep again on the same vine, in the same place. The little punk, lol.
By the way, all is good here. Just wanted to share my first bite with everybody.
