Doesn't know what a wax worm is?

I have a new 3 month old Panther. I bought some small wax worms for him last night for a treat, since we are having some issues w/his enclosure & the small crickets we are putting in are disappearing almost immediately (will be fixing tonight after work). Anyway, I put a wax worm in last night & 2 in this morning. Both times, my guy has shown intense interest in the worm(s) but has yet to strike and eat. Both times, he immediately climbs down to investigate, but then just sits and stares at the worms. (picture below). This morning, he has been sitting there for about an hour. I know he was to be hungry, but he won't eat. I bought the small size worms, but are they still too big for him? Advice?

I also put 3 little crickets in this morning on the hopes he would grab one before they disappeared, but no luck. There is an opening in the frame that they are getting into. They are not actually getting out of the enclosure- or at least we haven't seen or heard any loose crickets. But they are getting into the framework and disappearing. We will be fixing this tonight after work.

I have my best luck using feeding tongs to feed worms cause when u grab em from an end they wiggle like crazy.. also dont be devistated if he doesnt like em cause there very fatty and arnt a crucial part to the diet. try silks or hornworms.. most chams cant refuse and there far healthier for ur cham.

I only use those when my chams aren't eating just so they can eat.they are like potato chips no nutritional value .

Well yeah, that was the idea as I was saying above. Just to tide him over until we get the enclosure fixed. I am having to depend on the local pet stores right now & they don't have a huge variety of foods to offer, but it looks like it doesn't matter anyway, cause he's not buying. Anyway, we'll get the cage fixed tonight, so hopefully this won't be a problem. I was just surprised at his reaction- or lack thereof! lol
