Does this video bug you?

Sometimes people have reptile shops but they don't specialize in chameleons. I'm guessing he handles snakes more than he does chameleons by the way he was holding him. Honestly, the people who were commenting on his video should have called him and talked with him regarding proper holding. He might not have known (which is obviously his responsiblity but we do have the right to express concern respectfully). It's not fair for an established reptile business to be bombarded by comments like that. That might be an employee - not the owner of the business. If only half of you realized how much money and TIME goes into owning a business like that ... it's just really unfair to have such a negative opinion about their establishment when you don't know who that person is that was handling the chameleon.

Sorry guys, I just needed to be on the other side of the fence so it could be fair.

yay, we got the devil's advocate! :) Great Leila! :)

If it's his employee, maybe he should have given him a proper training! ;)

As for the calling, i live in Quebec, Canada. Do you really think i will spend 10$ just to argue with him with my french accent? :p

Also, if i didn't write respectfully to him, on youtube, i apologize and this was clearly not my goal.

fair point. I guess I'm more responsible than anyone else though... but i just didn't like what I saw in the video. As you said, a lot of time and money is required for a successful business, so it seems a little more time and CARE should go into producing the videos intended to promote sales. anyway, I'm not trying to bash "underground reptiles".. I'm sure they have good intentions, and the cham looked healthy.... but what a poor salesman choice (crocodile hunter wannabe)

Either way, the comments were removed, so perhaps he did so out of guilt! Oh no..

I really, really don't see what all the fuss is about. It may not be the proper hold for a chameleon, but it's certainly not cruel. Moreso it's certainly not deserving of the comments and ruckus!

It's pronounced Am-Bee-Low-Bay.

i think we were pretty much at the point of letting this thread die off anyway. I personally never posted a comment on the actual video, I shared it with a community of people who I knew could draw their own conclusion. sorry if anyone was offended.

p.s. i agree, the video was not cruel.

It's not cruel he is just stressing the chameleon out. I know that you may not find it that bad but they don't take good care of teir chameleons. They keep 2-4 oldsters in glass with fake plants and bad substarte. I bought clea from them before I knew about this website, and I am glad that someone got the other one with her. I was talking to the owner about chameleons and he didn't care at all. He wouldn't listen. They don't really listen to what customers need to say to help them out. They gave me all the wrong info with clea when I bought her. It's all about the money!
