Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Male carpet chameleon approx. 4mos. old-- I've owned him for 5 days
Handling - Once when unpacking and once to try and pull sperm plug out
Feeding - approx. 10-15 1/4" crickets gutloaded with mixture of bug burger/dinofuel and veggies (collard greens, butternut squash, carrots, and apples). Hydrated with water gel
Supplements - Only supplement used so far was Repashy calcium plus on 5 crickets -- I know because I feed him individual crickets on kabob stick.
Watering - Hand mist for approx. 3 mins a day 4 times a day --wipe off excess water pooling on bottom of glass cage. I've observed him drinking.
Fecal Description - black/brown feces with white urate. No fecal testing done
History - Just reaching sexual maturity
Cage Info:

Lighting - New 18" ZooMed ReptiSun 5.0, new 18" Hagen LifeGlo full spectrum bulb and 40W basking light
Temperature - Bottom of cage 74 degrees, Middle of cage 78 degrees and basking spot of 89 degrees. Measured using Exo Terra digital temp probe and SnapOn Infrared Temp Gun. Night time temp of 67 degrees
Humidity - Humidity of 65-80% using Exo Terra digital hygrometer
Plants - Ficus benjamina and Pothos
Placement - Cage mounted on 3ft table so 5ft highest point of cage. Located in Basement
Location - Virginia
Current Problem - Not trying to imply that there is a problem but I've noticed my cham's butt is looking swollen. When I first got him, I noticed that he had a small piece of sperm plug hanging out. It was too small for me to pull so I let him pass it normally 2 days later. It was a decent size plug. After he passed the plug, it was still swollen. 2 days later, he passed another big plug and I thought that the swelling went down. It's still there. He seems to have some inflammation around the rim of the anus but there's no redness there. Another thing that I noticed is that he is pretty well endowed for a little guy
. Does this have anything to do with it? I really love this guy but wifey keeps bugging me about his butt so I told her that I'd ask you guys. Thanks
