Does this look like fungus?

Some backstory. To the right is a healing fungal infection he had before i purchased him. Ive noticed the last couple days to the left and on his elbow there is some white discoloration. This is my first chameleon and im not sure if this is returning fungus or just shedding.

Chameleon Info:

Your Chameleon - Male Jackson's Chameleon. Unsure of the age probably around 4 months. I received him on the 4th of this month.
Handling - Its unfortunately been once a day since i purchased him with changing his cage around and taking the photos. Also needing to practically hand feed him.
Feeding - Right now he likes meal worms and occasionally crickets but hes been eating less an less. Maybe do to stress. He also wont eat while im in the room. May be afraid of people after his first fungal treatment. I havnt started gut loading yet im more concerned with him eating regularly.
Supplements - I dust the crickets with calcium.
Watering - The most success ive had is dripping water onto his mouth in the hopes that he'll drink. I mist with water 2-3 times a day and have a dripper going over some leaves but i havnt seen him drink from the dripper or leaves yet.
Fecal Description - ive only seen him defaecate once it was white and yellow liquid.
History - Purchased him from a petsmart. The employes knew nothing about jackson's chameleons outside of basic reptile care. He was recovering from a fungal infection when i purchased him.

Cage Info:

Cage Type - Screen cage
Lighting - i regular halogen light for warmth and a uvb light that he likes to bask under. I turn them both off at night.
Temperature - In the basking areas the cooler area is in the high 70's with the warmer basking area being in the mid 80's. further down the cage it drops into the lower 70's. all temps drop by 5 to 10 degrees at night.
Humidity - Ive been having a hard time maintaining humidity which is why i mist often although he doesnt seem to enjoy it. I also have a fogging machine but i believe he might be afraid of the movement the fog generates.
Plants - Umbrella plant
Placement - In my bedroom in an unused tv stand. As high as i could get him while still having cage access. Not near any vents although i have a room humidifier near by.
Location - Colorado springs

Current Problem - If his fungal infection has returned and spread.

From what I can see, yes that looks like yeast fungal infection. Have you taking him to a vet?

Not yet i have a few days to return him to petsmart and theyll take him to the vet but i dont really want to take him back there. I would rather take him to the vet myself. I just wanted to make sure i wasn't seeing things. Thankyou

That second closed wound was full of fluid?
Im not sure the employes didnt seem to know much and were hesitant to even tell me about the fungal infection. As of right now it seems dry and is beginning to peel a bit. Now that i have a second opinion ill be taking him to the vet as soon as possible.

You are not seeing things. Fungal infections are a pain to get rid of, and are really hard on chameleons. Petsmart sold you that chameleon in that condition?

Vet bills can add up. If you take him back to Petsmart, I doubt they will do anything to get him better. Good luck.

They sure did. I shouldn't have gone through a chain petstore so that's my own fault. Hes my responsibility now so ill do whatever i can to get him better but at the very least he's more comfortable now than he was before. Thankyou again

I love to hear this from new members! I did the same thing with my cham, currently making sure he ends up with a happy life! Good luck to you and your cham, he's a charmer :)

Update us on what your vet says, also try and get a fecal test so you know if he has any parasites or not. I really encourage everyone with new chams to get one out the way. Because if he has parasites now you can take care of him early before they get out of hand.

Thankyou Gabe ill be sure to ask about the fecal test and leave an update on his hopeful recovery.

welp just a quick update hes doing fine it was just some shedding. His lack of eating was probably that mixed with the pain of healing from his previous infection. He starting to eat a bit more now, not as much as i would like, but as long as hes ok im happy.

I would be the same as you. Jacksons are charming little chams and he looks a lot like my Monty! They can go off of their food right before a shed. Plus, Jacksons do everything a lot slower than other species! Monty had 4 months between his last shed and the one before.

I HATE PETSMART!!!!!
Everytime I go to either one near my place the poor veileds they are selling are in a space approx 1 foot by 1 foot by 1 foot,,,with one bendable climbimg vine and a fake plant with 3 leaves on it,,,,the poor guys are all grey and distressed looking with a fake rock looking bowl filled with feces and a bit of water!!! One store even had 2 in the same type of enclosure with poops everywhere!!!! Poor animals look close to death and they cantg be more than 5 months old!!!!
If Petsmart is a sponsor on this forum,,,hows about getting your employees versed in the care of such delicate creatures!!!!
Im sure this will nixed by the mods but hopefully not before a petsmart higher up sees it!!!!
