Some backstory. To the right is a healing fungal infection he had before i purchased him. Ive noticed the last couple days to the left and on his elbow there is some white discoloration. This is my first chameleon and im not sure if this is returning fungus or just shedding.
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Male Jackson's Chameleon. Unsure of the age probably around 4 months. I received him on the 4th of this month.
Handling - Its unfortunately been once a day since i purchased him with changing his cage around and taking the photos. Also needing to practically hand feed him.
Feeding - Right now he likes meal worms and occasionally crickets but hes been eating less an less. Maybe do to stress. He also wont eat while im in the room. May be afraid of people after his first fungal treatment. I havnt started gut loading yet im more concerned with him eating regularly.
Supplements - I dust the crickets with calcium.
Watering - The most success ive had is dripping water onto his mouth in the hopes that he'll drink. I mist with water 2-3 times a day and have a dripper going over some leaves but i havnt seen him drink from the dripper or leaves yet.
Fecal Description - ive only seen him defaecate once it was white and yellow liquid.
History - Purchased him from a petsmart. The employes knew nothing about jackson's chameleons outside of basic reptile care. He was recovering from a fungal infection when i purchased him.
Cage Info:
Cage Type - Screen cage
Lighting - i regular halogen light for warmth and a uvb light that he likes to bask under. I turn them both off at night.
Temperature - In the basking areas the cooler area is in the high 70's with the warmer basking area being in the mid 80's. further down the cage it drops into the lower 70's. all temps drop by 5 to 10 degrees at night.
Humidity - Ive been having a hard time maintaining humidity which is why i mist often although he doesnt seem to enjoy it. I also have a fogging machine but i believe he might be afraid of the movement the fog generates.
Plants - Umbrella plant
Placement - In my bedroom in an unused tv stand. As high as i could get him while still having cage access. Not near any vents although i have a room humidifier near by.
Location - Colorado springs
Current Problem - If his fungal infection has returned and spread.
