Does the length away of your chameleons eyes count with superworms?

I've seen pictures of chameleons having huge superworms in their mouth that would go over the size when it comes to the width between their eyes... So I ended up buying small, instead of medium or large superworms. Does it matter how big they are when it comes to feeding your chameleon? Mine is a veiled and its I'm guessing 10-12 months old.

The general feeding size rule is that you want the WIDTH of the insect to be narrower than the space between their eyes, but length isn't as important on a long, narrow bug like a worm. Obviously something like a large roach nymph, which might be as wide as it is long, might be too much but with worms it's ok that they're long because most are fairly narrow.

At his age he can probably chomp down large supers without fear :)
