Well I was talking to the pet shop owner wanting a Red Barred Male Ambilobe
(the ones He had only showed a little Red on Their face's at around 6-7 Months old)
and He was telling Me the Red shows last on Ambilobe Panther Chameleon's is this true? Also when do They stop getting more Colour? Thank You.

It is difficult to say. It really depends on the bloodline. Some Ambilobes never get any red. They will color up until about 18 months. Some will continue to change shades of their base color throughout their entire life.

Oh ok thank You for the information I guess He just wanted Me to buy one rather than give Me the correct information. I see all these AMAZING Ambilobe's on this Forum and cant find any even close to the ones in America and Canada over here in the UK.

What pet shop was that? Iv got one coming this week from chameleon.co.uk
Can't wait lol

It varies from Ambilobe to Ambilobe. Some get red early on, some never get red, some get red after a year. Sometimes their barring even changes throughout their lives. It is really a crap shoot w/ Ambilobes. However, in my experience Ambilobes color up faster than many other locales.

It was just a local pet shop, And do You mean Chameleoco.co.uk ? I'm interested but don't know about delivery I'd rather pick one up and their miles away. How long does delivery take with them?

Yeah their so unpredictable, I cant wait until I finally find one I've got the set up ready which is teasing Me lol, I never knew they were so hard to find here.

Yeh chameleoco I meant, damn predictive
They have a reptile / pet courier who are meant to be really good. The delivery depends as it's done in runs across the country not how a courier like DHL or someone does
So the run starts on the 17th I should receive my cham on the 19th but the driver will ring and confirm where I am with a delivery time

I decided not to get from a pet shop because you don't know where it's from or how it's been looked after, chameleoco are very good breeders and look after their animals well and you can see the parents which was important to me

My ambilobe had much more red at 4-6 months than later, even though he seems to be having red "phases" between stretches of several months with no red at all....

The one from the Pet Shop has half a Tail (Tail nip)
I have found a different Shop with a different Ambilobe Male
which one would any of You suggest if either and which would get more redder. here are picture's of them the store's sent Me...
