My neighbor gave me his female chameleon because he was going to get rid of it. I am trying to take best care of her as possible. The proper lights are on their way but besides that does everything else look ok?

I notice you have a water dish. Chameleons don't drink from water dishes. Also i'm assuming the second dish is a food dish. You should probably attach it to one of the top branches because they don't like to go down for their food. Also as @Mrjamwin said, you need more plants. This is so the chameleon is feeling more secure, and so that she can drink. Like I mentioned, chameleons don't drink from still water, but drink off leaves. But if there are no leaves... you get the point.
Also, she needs a laying bin. Female chameleons lay eggs even without ever mating. Females need a deep bin at the bottom of the enclosure for her to dig a tunnel and lay the eggs. Like i said, it should be pretty deep, and filled with a moist enough substrate so that the chameleons tunnel won't collapse. Also what temp is the basking spot? The lamp looks pretty far away from what I assume to be the basking branch.
Some keepers do have a permanent lay bin. Others watch the color patterns of their females to tell when they are close to laying and put one in at that point.Should there always be a laying bin in the cage?
See my feedback and questions in red bold.she also seems to lay on the branches weirdly
what would you estimate her length to be from tip of nose to the start of her tail? She looks older then 4 months. But size is hard in pics.also i’d probably assume she’s about 4 months
Get repashy bug burger. Follow the directions. Get some powdered bee pollen and add about a teaspoon to the mixture.thank you so much honestly i haven’t been gut loading because i didn’t even know what that was until today.
Well if that is just her body then I am gonna say she is more like 9 months or so.probably about 7-8 inches
thank you so much for all of your help i appreciate it so muchh!!Well if that is just her body then I am gonna say she is more like 9 months or so.
As far as the leaning on the branch. They do this to warm up the surface area of the side of their body for digestion.
