I'm not sure if Calypso is ready to lay eggs yet. She's two and only laid one clutch of about thirty eggs when she was about 1 1/2 years. I'm not sure if maybe the black I'm seeing around her eye is dirt embedded between her scales from digging. I tried a folded up piece of toilet paper with warm water on it, but I really didn't think it was doing anything. Could y'all let me know if her eye looks ok?
