Does anyone elses chameleon love to come out of the enclosure?

Im not sure if its to normal but ever since day 1 of getting my big fella he loves to come out of the enclosure! Soon as I come into the room and he sees me he rushes to the front clawing to get out and be held! He has never gotten mad at me before and his free roam is linked right above his cage he is aloud to come and go as he pleases! But he got smart he realized he can take the mistking tubing all the way to his wife but she doesnt like him to much yet

Ever since we've had Kabuki he seems to enjoy being perched on our hand, but maybe because he was so cold when we got him? It does seem he craves it though, he comes to the door when we're around and acts like he wants to come out.

I was wondering the same thing, if they enjoy contact. Everything I've read said they don't like being handled and like to be alone.

I suppose there's always exceptions.

like when I try to feed him hes always trying to grab on to my hands or arm as i put the crickets in! And its hard to hand feed him because hes more interested on grabbing me then eating

yes, they are like ppl - some are very social, some not- I have one panther who will try to bite me , but he is very young, another I had was like a chameleon avalanche when I open his cage- its all I could do to put the food in , and stuff him back in just to get the door shut before he could snag onto me again and some will come around given time, but don't ever rush them to come out- they need to do it at their own pace

my guy is inlove with being handled hes like glue once hes on he never wants to go back

I have 4 males and only 1 will not let me handle him, 2 will sometimes climb onto my arm but 1 (my ambanja Jason) especially seems to love coming out. Everytime I open his enclouse he rushes over and climbs up on my shoulders (or tries to get on my head), he'll watch me mist and put food in his cage then I have to pry him off me and put him back.
From what I've experienced with my own guys and from what I've heard from others I think male panther chameleons generally do become quite friendly and tolerant of handling, but ofcourse there are always exeptions.

I have a few panthers that really seem to like to come out and crawl all over me. They just want a excuse to come out of the cage and take over
