do you to have your viv higher then your eye line??

a lot of post say you need to have your viv higher then your eye line ??? am 6ft high and my viv is 3ft high...........so do i need to get a 4ft stand to put my viv on top of ???

It would be nice for your chameleon to be higher than you when you are standing next to the cage but my cage is about eye level with the stand it is on and it never has seemed to bother my chameleon. I guess it depends on your cham. If he is hiding from you and seems stressed when you come up to the cage, then mabye I would think of raising it higher than you are. I mean basically they like being high up, so the higher the better obviously!

My panthers adult cage is over 7ft high. Its a 4ft cage on a 3ft cabnit. I always heard they love to be high up.

Hey James,well it really depends on your chameleon specie,most of the common chameleons you find in pet stores dont feel safe close to the ground but some chameleon specie do.What specie is your chameleon!!

True, it depends on the type of chameleon.
But most common ones do prefer to be able to have the option of getting up at the 6-7 foot high level and looking down on you.

That's about the height of mine. My husband is 6'3" and he hAs to reach up well above his head to add water to the little dripped.. Stanley seems to like it, being up high!!
