I have an appointment tomorrow morning and im nervous my cham will come while im gone, im making sure you dont have to sign for the animal when it comes. I ordered him from flchams :)

Pretty sure someone has to sign , or have then hold at office from carrier?

since its too late to ask that it get held, the box wont return to the hub until evening.

which means.. it will be on a truck, all day. in no ac.

when we ordered ours from flchams our apt was around the back of the building. apparently the mailman didnt pay attention that it said "around back" on the package and that there was a sign on the front door that said "Apt 2 is around the back of the house take package there" because when we called the office bc it was late they said nobody answered the door so the man put it back on the truck and was going to take it back to the office at the end of his delivery, this was in early February and it was snowing. we went to the office and told them that if they didnt radio him and tell him to turn the truck around and bring us our chameleons that we were suing them for the entire cost of the animals and the shipping and if they were harmed in anyway the price of a new one as well. so if i were u i would get someone to hang out at your place until you return just to be safe

It depends on how the package was booked.

If it was booked with Delivery Confirmation (an extra charge) then an adult must sign for the package for it to be left.

If it was NOT booked with DC, then it can be left in a "safe place" by the driver.

If the driver encounters a human being on delivery, they will also request a signature while they are there.

But there is no default requirement for a package to be signed for, live reptile or otherwise, under a "normal" booking.

I do not know whether FLChams books their shipments with DC required or not.

You need to skip the appointment.

You dont want the animal in the box any longer than it has to be.

Especially with how hot its been lately.

Im haveing mine shipped to the fedex location, so as not to put them on a truck ,and pick up at 8 am in the morning so you need to set something up ar have someone there to sign, good luck someplaces have sat, pick up.

he came at 10:05 this morning and i was home from the appointment! He is perfectly healthy. Thank you all for your advice!

I'm in uk. Mine came by TNT. I asked for him to be delivered to my work but there was a mix up and he was delivered to my home. I rushed home having been told they would come back at 14.30. I was home early and found that they had left him in his box in the recycling bin!, luckily he was fine.

Hi, where did you order yours from? And what was it, I live in the uk nd really want to order a veiled!! You got any pics? Cheers

If I were you I would try to be there to sign for it because the purchaser has to be there to sign for it upon first delivery attempt or you don't get a live arrival guarantee and health guarantee. Also I'm not sure where you live but I live in VT and when I ordered my cham from FLChams he arrived at 10:30am-11am ish. I was worried about the apt thing too that's why I waited outside to they delivered him haha (okay maybe I was excited like a kid on christmas)...
