A couple of times I have glanced over to see each of my baby panthers firing up and opening their mouth real wide. It almost looked as if they were practicing. None of my chams can see each other from their cage either

could be a yawn, my little panther does it in the morning when he comes up to bask... or your he may gaping to regulate his body temp... thats just from my experience
