Diy watering system?

even Though my cham sadly died recently, I would like to know if there is any possible ways to have a diy watering/misting system. For a while I had one of those cheap amazon humidifiers and that worked well with hand spraying water three times a day. I would like to know if there are any other ways to have a misting system of sorts without spending a whole bunch of money. Also another thing is tap water safe for reptiles in general?

I bought a Monsoon Solo off ebay for $70 they're not that expensive and are totally worth it in the end. I use tap water in his little dropper but always use Reptisafe to take out the Ammonia and chlorine before I do. I go through a gallon of distilled water a day for his humidifier mostly. You'll want to use distilled water with anything that is going through a pump or a machine to avoid calcium deposits clogging the works. I live in a dry area about 5,000ft above sea level and it's winter so we're pumping in warm dry air to keep us warm constantly. But with the humidifier and 2 misting every 6hrs for 2mins each I'm keeping his cage at 50-65% humidity now. Where as before it would drop down to 20% over the night when I couldn't mist.

You can do a complete DIY mister if you want to. Is it worth the aggro? That's up to you.

As for tap water, it depends where you live and the quality of the water. This varies massively from area to area. Where I live has some of the best water in the UK and out of the tap I have a total dissolved reading of 0066 ppm. UK average is +0400 ppm.

I'm happy to use my water BUT still got myself a 4 stage RO unit lol.
