DIY Potting your Carnivorous pitcher plant

As to using a used reptisun 5.0 for natural sun i would not count on that at all. A window seal would suffice more.

so what should be used to help grow them if you don't get enough sun light by all your windows?

what plant bulbs would help?

maybe a better question is, how do you keep the live plants/trees in your cages from dieing?
is there something to help us bad plant people from tossing out alot of plants/trees?

I would only suggest you keep them by a window and always submerged in water.

Plants and trees can be taken care of inside without problems. Over watering and under watering are the main causes dying. Proper aeration is essential to a potted plant/trees survival.

I was thinking of getting a nepenthes for the top corner of my cage. Even if it is mildly toxic, my cham won't have access to it. Does this repotting thread pertain to those as well? I had read that for nepenthes they are not supposed to be submerged. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I wouldnt recomend putting it inside the cage. As far as that genus goes I have no idea what they require to thrive.

I have more than 100 carnivorous plants all different kinds of vft, nepenthes, cobra lillies, droseras and so on. Nepenthes can be put in a peat moss perlite mix or plain peat moss. They also need to dry a little between waterings not like vft who u can't overwater. I myself like the nepethes and the droseras. The droseras have sticky hairs all over the leaves that catch bugs. They r cool. Any plant can be kept indoors and thrive as long as the conditions r right. I had to build little greenhouses to help me. Good luck with your plants everyone we all need them to survive.
