Distilled vs RO vs ro/di for MK

As for the mistkings lifespan, is there much of a difference in using distilled/RODI or just RO. RO has trace amounts of minerals, but was wondering if that would still cause a build up over time? I have an RODI unit for marine aquariums that I used to use, but that is basically just a different way of making distilled water. So I would guess there's no difference in the two. Id like to use an RO unit to save money on buying distilled every week, but I don't want any issues with the MK.

Also at which PPM do you guys change your RO filters for misting?

No one us RO? Everyone seems so adamant about it any other thread lol.
I had a Rainmaker (an auto misting system, sort of an ancestor of the Mist King) and always used RO in it. It ran for years with regular cleaning....no problems. Didn't have a source for bulk distilled, and preferred that slight bit of mineral content the water would have.

I have heard everything from people using well water to distilled water, I was under the impression that mistking sells parts for the nozzle, in the case of a clog I have heard of replacement tips, personally I use RO and had no performance issues with the nozzles in around 2 years time, but I have seriously considering switching to some sort of water with more minerals.
