Disinterest in food.

My one year old cham is no long interested in the live crickets my wife and I have been feeding it. Is there anyway to get him re interested in his food?

well how often do you feed him? you could try not feeding him for 2 or 3 days and seeing if he will eat the crickets. Is that all you have been feeding him for the past year is crickets?

We have. At the same time he had a seminal plug which was taken care of by our local vet. Ever since returning him home he has stopped eating. He has a fogger which keeps his humidity at a steady 80%. His water is from a dripper system and we are running an exo terra dual CF hood with two UVB bulbs. He has a 125 watt basking lamp plus a ceramic bulb for constant heat plus a night time bulb. He is active during the day continuing to climb and move and sleep at night. UVB is on for 12 hours a day.

I don't know if you have a misting system or not but I would recommend that over the fogger any day. The foggers constant moisture from what I have heard causes quite a bit of respiratory infections.

For the feeder problem though I would give him more variety thats all. If you have only been feeding him crickets that long it would be beneficial to him to give him some different food options.

Some options include but are not limited to...
Superworms, Silkworms, Hornworms, Waxworms(occasionally as they are high in fat), Mealworms(occasionally because of their hard exo skeleton) Dubian roaches....and the list goes on and on lol Those are just a few to give you an idea if you had not already thought of them.

wow sounds like you have way too much lighting go on there! Only one UVB blub is necessary. The preferred bulb being a 5.0. Some use a 10.0 so if you are using two 5.0's then I guess that would be ok. What is the 125 watt creating for a basking temp? You do not need another ceramic bulb for heat if you have a 125 watt basking bulb! What do you mean a night time bulb? For heat? If so, not necessary either. You should have no lights on at night and no heat unless your temps are going to drop below 50. How long have you kept him in these conditions?

I am happy to report he is eating regularly again. Even with the basking bulb at 125 watts his cage is only sitting at 80. Maybe I need a better form of gauging his temps. What would you recommend as another bulb for our daytime instead of a second UVB bulb? We are currently running two 24 watt 5.0 UVB bulbs. His basking lamp is being reduced to 75 watts. He is currently in our living room where he does get a nice breeze from our ceiling fan. He drinks from a dripper we have for him and the fogger keeps his humidity up. I know misting is preferred to the fogger so we will look into that asap.
