Diarrhea, irregularity, possible blood in stool :(

So Clark (ambilobe) just had some diarrhea right now and he has been VERY regular the past 8 months I've had him (every morning at 10:30am).

His urate was like normal, but his stools are somewhat watery and more "pebbly" they have been dropping one or two small bits at a time for a few minutes now and one of the pieces looks like it has a solid red chunk in it. Also, the smell is VERY strong...

EDIT: It is 11:15PM. Its very odd for him to even be awake at this hour. There is DEFINITELYblood in his stool (or some very red liquid!).

Also....he has recently begun some very, very strange behavior over the past few days....

he chews on:
-plastic bags
-coins/screws/metallic objects
-the white foam padding in my doggy chair


I'm thinking a vet visit is in order...

Its logical he's swallowed somthing! What exactly is Clark? Yes vet asap in case he has swallowed somthing poisonous/sharp/undigestible...

Is Clark a chameleon? How does he have access to these items?

id get a fecal done asap since you have a fresh poo to do so.

If there is blood in his stool i'd say get a fecal done and take him to a vet ASAP.

haha sorry yes I should have mentioned that...Clark is my BB Ambilobe 8 months old


he has access to those items because he is free-ranged....recently he has begun climbing down off his free-range and wandering around the house (i'm building him a much larger enclosure, but its takin time!)

i vote stool float like everyone else. i also suggest an x-ray or ultrasound if you fear he has swallowed something lethal JMO

His behavior hasn't changed much except the very recent lack of eating/drinking, he is still quite energetic and active
