my chameleon is currently 12 inches from snout to tip of tail not vent. ive read that they can get to 12inches from snout to vent....that sounds huge since hes 5ish months old and from what ive also read he'll do most of his growing by the time hes a year old. just curious if should expect 12in from snout to vent by then? and if not around about what should i expect?

If its a male panther or veiled, yes it can grow to between 10-12" snout to vent. Most are at that size by about a yr. Some take longer to grow though, and you could have a runt in which case he may only get from 9-10" snout to vent. Depends on genetics and frequency and amount of feeders given/eatten. Some will eat more than others at every feeding thus they grow faster. (And are more prone to obesity issues if your not careful)

Personally I've never seen an adult panther 12" STV! Most are going to be smaller.

Yeah only panther I've even heard of being that large is one that screameleons was breeding. They claimed he is 12" stv I believe
