Is it safe to feed my cham the dead crickets? He has eaten some that I've put in there with other live ones, but I just want to make sure its safe.

He ate dead crickets? Were they all alone or mixed in with crickets that were alive and may have been eaten by mistake? I would not feed a chameleon dead crickets.

If they look like they just died very recently i dont see a problem. I wouldnt feed him anything that looks like it is starting to decay, that's just begging for problems.

I wouldn't do it. If they didn't die from being eaten then you don't what they did die from. They could have died of bacterial or fungal causes and you certainly don't want your cham to be eating that! Usually chams don't even dead things...and I would definitely avoid it. It doesn't take very long at all for bacteria to overrun something that's dead (maybe just minutes) and that's not good for your reptile.

Yes...

If they are eadtheyhave no nutritional value to offer as obviously they are not gutloaded... so they only thing they possibly could offer is nothing good or of value... IMO I would weed out the dead ones.

Just because they're dead doesnt mean they have no nutritional value...but don't feed him dead ones even if they just recently died becuase normally when other crickets die the bacteria kills off the other ones so youll be feeding him a bacteria riddled cricket carcass
