Dart Frogs - It's Sandras Fault ;)

Well after all the pics of dart frogs from Sandra, Curt from Epic, and Rob I couldn't resist. I had to invest in a pair of dart frogs.

I always have a good oggle at the ones in the reptile store where I get Simbas locusts.

Secondly, for all your dart frog experts. Is it okay to dust with Repashy Calcium plus and if so, how frequently? I dust all my fruitflies and pinheads with DinoFuel, but I wasn't sure how much Calcium plus was safe to use with the frogs. Thanks for the help!

welcome to a new addiction and enjoy. I don't dust but I am certainly not an expert.

My husband only dusts his leucs with Repashy and dusts daily. He also wants to mention that as compared to chams you dust heavy because the higher humidity will dissipate the dust, not to mention the FFs wandering around will knock it off. He bought three when they were about 5 weeks old, and this was back in the fall. They have grown substantially since then and their color is vibrant. Enjoy this hobby!

Sorry, forgot to say its the Calcium Plus Repashy and he feeds daily. As for his method, he leaves the dust in a cup, adds the FFs and swirls them. He then dumps them into a small sifter and puts that immediately back over the original cup and shakes off the majority of the extra dust. He then dumps it all over a piece of banana in the tank.
