Darn little buggers

Okay so i have these little flying bug things, they look almost like mini misquotes. Now they're not fruit flys, there that other bug, that has been lost in my mind. Anyway i was wondering if anyone else had experience with this nasty little buggers. If so do you know if there breeding because of some water i left in my dripper cups, at the bottom of the cage or because I've been accidentally over watering my plant

They're probably fungus gnats. Completely harmless and a free food source for baby chams, but quite annoying as well. I get them in my Avicularia versicolor cage if I let it get too moist for too long.

I have always had them.
They stay pretty much in control though.
You could release some baby mantids to take care of them.
Keeping things a bit drier should help.

You can bury a few pennies in the soil of your plant. Something about the copper that the fugus gnats don't like. I got this tip off of a gardening website and it got rid of them on all of my indoor plants.

You can bury a few pennies in the soil of your plant. Something about the copper that the fugus gnats don't like. I got this tip off of a gardening website and it got rid of them on all of my indoor plants.

Copper is unsafe to most inverts. I've breed fish and inverts for years now and you cannot use medicines that have copper in them as it will kill off your invertebrates.
