dark colours

hi , hope someone can help i have recently bought a blue bar ambanja, he is about 5-6 months.... when he's at the top of his enclosure under his lights he goes really dark but when he climbs down towards the bottom he'l show really light colours is this normal or could there be a problem?

no problem. Just trying to absorb the heat.

perfectly normal he just wants to absorb more heat they do that by darkening up and they will flatten there body out and kinda turn sideways to get the most of there body surface getting hit by light
