Dark color while in sunlight

Is it normal for my cham to be reallly dark colored when i take him out to the sunlight? at morning i took his cage along with him to a spot where theres a bit of sunlight and a bit of shade if its too hot for him, he stays at the spot with sunlight and the temperature is of about 83, and the day is windy...... is it normal for him? he's 5 months old..

This is absolutely normal. The dark coloration can be there to absorb heat and sunlight. It can be quite overwhelming for them when venturing outside for the first few times as well.

Chams will go very dark when outside to absorb the heat. and if its the first few times they have been outside, it can be an unnerving for them.
so relax, and enjoy him... haha,..
