Dante's big boy cage

Well we both made the move to AZ. I made him a 2'x1'x8'' travel cage and he rode strapped into the passenger seat the whole way; taking him out to mist at every gas fill up. The trip obviously stressed him out a ton since he's is just now today returning to his normal, normal colors and finally ate a cricket and two wax worms. Man was I getting worried. A dose of Reptaid administered orally yesterday seemed to help. Hopefully he'll continue to return to his normal feisty self. Next week or the following I'm gonna get him into a vet for a check-up and fecal, just want to give him plenty of time for is stress level to go back down.

The silicone sealing bottom in his old one failed and it leaked pretty bad. Since I'm in an apartment I have to be 100% sure there is no water ending up on the carpet or walls. This new cage is based around the drainage aspect and it all seems to work pretty well. The base just need some more supports and bracing then it'll be perfect. I'll have ~$100 into it all when its totally done. Anyways onto the pics, sorry they're so crappy, no more digi cam since I was using the family one, the built in macbook cam will have to do:

Thanks for looking!

Thanks for the complements, took me a better part of a day to build. Not much planning other than a rough drawing, a lot re-cutting tho. I quickly learned to cut everything long, test fit and trim. The cage it's self is 4'x2'x2' and the base is 3'x3' to catch any over spray of the mister. There are two more plants that need to go in, but the bottom and base need reinforcing first. I'm also planning on buying a new schaferlla (sp?) that is at least 3' tall, if I can find one. I still need to hook up the dripper and through the grow light up there. And I still need to get my gecko's cage all tied in. It's only been a few day and I already tired of misting; I love my mistking :D

Cheers :D

Neat cage Matt. It kinda floats on that base, like a Hudini cage. :D Working with pvc can be a bear at times and once you glue it, IT'S GLUED!! Measure twice and cut once!:D I'd love to see it when its all decorated and complete. Well done mate.:)
