This is one of my favorites. He was imported in May 2016. I bought him about five days after import as a 6 gram black spooky little thing. There was a tiny tiny hint of blue on his head and I hoped he was a gracilior and not another baby quad. At some point, he somehow injured his mouth/tongue in his cage and I had a heck of a time keeping him alive after that. He was doing well and then one day I looked in his cage and he had blood filling his mouth. He seemed to be in a lot of pain for months. I had him to vets many times--four different vets. I was waiting for him to die, but I force fed him for awhile and then hand fed him for months. @jpowell86 and I discussed him many times. At one point Joel saw him in person and he, too, expected him to die. But he didn't. He's still a tiny little thing but he's very round and heavy. Joel named him Danny Devito.
His face was injured at import, so his horns took forever to start to grow and they are rounded at the tips. He's a very pretty little thing. He looks like he is about to shed so isn't showing his pretty colors. I have a lot of trouble getting pictures of him but today it was cool and cloudy and he was very happy to be out on the mango tree hunting. He used to be such a spooky little thing but now he's pretty laid back. While on my hand, he managed nail a fly or something and pull off some mango flowers which he was happy to chew up and eat. I love the last picture--he's a man on a mission.
