Damage by non native Jackson's in Hawaii...

"predatory arboreal African lizard" that does the shaky dance as it tried to cross the road...

Why are people not up in arms over pineapples taking over the state for 200 years...

People are up in arms over the "frogs" that get so deafening that some houses are sold guaranteed "frog free".

Though the new one i am worried about. The veilds are coming. And veileds breed like rabbits compared to jacksons, and can each much larger prey.

Jacksons are tolerated, and even harvested. Veileds are classified as a highly invasive species, just like the snakeheads.

Humans need to quit introducing new species to fragile ecosystems. Plants included. It's unfortunate people think ecosystems evolve so quickly...it takes years upon years.

Not all species that end up being invasive are intentionally moved from one place to another....some come in the ballast water of ships and in wood crates and pallettes and with fruits, vegetables, greens and ornamental plants just to name a few ways.
Although humans are the biggest cause of these things being moved birds and other animals spread them too.
We need to find ways to control and stop ones that are causing the loss of other species for sure....its just not easy just as it's not easy to stop it from happening in. The first place.
